US law enforcement successfully disrupted an alleged plot to attack the White House during a mixed martial arts event attended by President Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials over the weekend. FBI Director Kash Patel announced that multiple individuals have been taken into custody as a result of a multi-state operation.

Patel shared the news on X, formerly Twitter, stating, "Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold." He included a Fox News headline about the disruption of an alleged explosive-drone plot targeting the White House UFC event.

According to unnamed US officials cited by Fox News, five people have been taken into custody in connection with the alleged plot. The FBI's swift action prevented the planned attacks, ensuring the safety of the event and its attendees.
