Odunpazarı municipality expands language support for education

Odunpazarı Municipality has signed a cooperation protocol with Wimbledon Language Academy to make foreign-language education more accessible to children, young people, and adults.

The agreement offers discounted places in English and German programs, as well as preparation courses for IELTS, TOEFL, ITEP, and Goethe exams. The discounts will apply to municipal employees and their immediate relatives, along with families of children attending the municipality’s day-care centers and nurseries.

The most notable part of the agreement is a full scholarship program for nine students. The municipality will select three primary-school, three middle-school, and three high-school students to receive the scholarships.

At the signing ceremony, Odunpazarı Mayor Kazım Kurt said foreign-language learning would help children and young people prepare more strongly for the future and follow the world more closely. Academy founder Gamze Yücel Yetkinoğlu said the protocol would make language education easier to access and provide long-term benefits for families in the city.
