'Spider-Man 4' has set a new record this year, becoming the fastest film to cross the 5 million viewer mark. This achievement surpasses previous records, including 'The King and the Man,' and is on track to potentially overtake 'Confidential Assignment 2' as the second most-watched film of the year. Audience reception, reflected in a 97% CGV Egg index score, indicates strong public approval, with viewers resonating with the mature portrayal of Peter Parker.

In contrast, director Na Hong-jin's highly anticipated film 'Hope' is facing a slump in its box office performance. Despite reaching 4 million viewers, its current trajectory suggests that surpassing the 5 million mark might be challenging. Currently, 'Odyssey' leads in advance ticket sales with 52.3%, followed by 'Spider-Man 4' at 31.0%, together accounting for over 80% of the market. The strong performance of these two films indicates a robust recovery and continued interest in theatrical releases within the South Korean market.
