'Odyssey' Tops Box Office for a Week, Surpasses 2.36 Million Viewers

Christopher Nolan's latest film, 'Odyssey,' has captured the South Korean box office, holding the top spot for an entire week. The movie drew 236,229 viewers on August 11 alone, bringing its cumulative audience to 2,368,657.

Since its release on August 5, 'Odyssey' has consistently led the box office. It crossed the 1 million viewer mark on its fourth day and surpassed 2 million by the fifth. The film chronicles the journey of Odysseus, the hero who led the Trojan War to victory, as he strives to return to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.

This new work from Nolan, known for hits like 'Interstellar,' 'Dunkirk,' 'Tenet,' and 'Oppenheimer,' has resonated with audiences in South Korea, where his previous films have attracted over 36 million viewers cumulatively. Meanwhile, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' secured the second position with 151,905 viewers on the same day, accumulating a total of 6,242,899 viewers. 'The Legend of the Blue Diamond' followed in third place with 19,209 viewers, reaching a total of 472,425.
