Officers and Residents Work Hand-in-Hand to Extinguish Land Fires in Ogan Ilir

In Desa Arisan Jaya, Pemulutan Barat, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra, a concerted effort is underway as Manggala Agni firefighters from Daops Sumatera XIV-Banyuasin work alongside local residents to combat a spreading land fire. The operation is intensifying to prevent the flames from encroaching on surrounding areas amidst the prevailing dry season.

Firefighters are employing ground-based firefighting equipment to douse the affected areas, aiming to suppress any resurgence of flames on the parched land. The prevailing hot weather and the dry state of the terrain pose considerable challenges to the teams' efforts in controlling the fire. Despite these difficulties, the teams are pushing forward to contain the blaze.

Beyond active suppression, the teams are also focusing on cooling down critical points within the fire zone. This crucial step is designed to mitigate the risk of new fires igniting from lingering embers, a common occurrence in such conditions.
