Ogogo gets over 500 offers of medical, spiritual help

Nollywood veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, is currently battling stage-four cancer and has been inundated with over 500 offers of medical, spiritual, and other forms of assistance.

We have received offers from more than 300 and even over 500 people, each sincerely believing they have something that could help him. The challenge is simply: where do we take him to? And how do we move him from the hospital while he’s receiving care?

His close friend and colleague, Yinka Quadri, shared that the sheer volume of offers has created a logistical challenge for Ogogo's family. They are struggling to discern which of the numerous suggestions and assistance offers could be pursued without interfering with the actor's current hospital treatment.

Quadri expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of goodwill, emphasizing that the family's inability to accept all offers or move Ogogo to different facilities should not be misconstrued as rejection. He urged the public to continue praying for the actor as the family explores the available treatment avenues.

We have received hundreds of such offers and we sincerely appreciate every single one of them. However, we humbly appeal to everyone not to stop praying for Ogogo. Please continue to pray with us.

This situation arises amidst efforts to secure specialized medical care for the veteran actor. Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya recently revealed that Ogogo had undergone surgery, with Senator Solomon Adeola facilitating contact with top cancer specialists. Ogogo's daughters had previously disclosed that the cancer affects his abdomen, and some facilities could no longer continue with his chemotherapy, prompting an appeal for alternative treatment recommendations. Senator Adeola has also pledged to support Ogogo's medical expenses, though his daughters noted he is not fit for international travel.
