Ogun State Attracting Local, Diaspora Investments Through Reforms, Says Governor's Aide

Ogun State is actively drawing in both domestic and international investors, a trend attributed to reforms initiated by Governor Dapo Abiodun. The state government has pledged to maintain an environment conducive to business, with a focus on forging partnerships that will spur economic diversification and create jobs.

Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, emphasized these efforts at the inauguration of Treal Hotel and Suites in Abeokuta. He stated that the administration is deepening reforms to improve the ease of doing business, noting that Ogun's industrial base, infrastructure, and strategic location make it a prime investment destination.

During the event, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo of Kingsway International Christian Centre, London, encouraged Nigerian professionals and investors abroad to channel their resources and influence into rebuilding confidence in the nation's economy. He urged the diaspora to translate their global successes into structured investments at home for national development.

The founder of the new hotel, Adebayo Fagbenro, explained that his investment was motivated by years of international experience and a desire to address gaps in Nigeria's hospitality standards. He noted that the multi-million naira project aims to raise local service delivery standards, bridging the gap he observed between international environments and the domestic hospitality sector.
