Oil From Tanker Grounded off Oman Has Started Reaching Mainland

Bahrain's High Criminal Court has delivered stern sentences in multiple terrorism-related cases, handing down 15-year prison terms to three defendants convicted of joining and actively working for a terrorist organization. The court also imposed fines and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

According to a statement from the Deputy Chief Prosecutor for Terrorism Crimes, investigations revealed that the convicted individuals were involved in a plot to destabilize Bahrain. Their objectives included disrupting public order, undermining national security, harming individuals, spreading fear, and obstructing state institutions. The defendants reportedly admitted to their roles, which included carrying out terrorist tasks within Bahrain and facilitating the transfer of funds to support the group.

In parallel proceedings, the court sentenced three other defendants to prison terms of up to 10 years for supporting Iranian terrorist attacks against Bahrain. Some of these individuals were also fined and had assets confiscated. These cases stemmed from social media monitoring that uncovered content endorsing attacks and sharing information about sensitive sites.

Furthermore, two defendants were convicted of spying for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is designated as a terrorist organization. The Public Prosecution emphasized its ongoing commitment to prosecuting crimes linked to terrorist groups and urged social media users to exercise responsibility and refrain from disseminating prohibited materials that could jeopardize national security.
