The post, originally shared on PTT by an individual claiming to be Chen Hsing-yu's college classmate, revealed her nickname was "Ah-Hao" (pronounced "Ah-Ho" in Taiwanese Hokkien). The classmate described Chen as disliking her status as the president's daughter and first daughter, often rejecting requests for favors. The post also recounted an incident during a rafting trip in Hualien where Chen, after being repeatedly splashed with water, angrily demanded to know if her aggressors "knew who she was." To the surprise of her peers, she followed up by stating, "I am a dentist!" This retort became a long-standing joke among her classmates.

Chen Hsing-yu, a graduate of Yang-Ming University's dental program, also reportedly attended her wedding, where the poster gave a gift of NT$3,600.
