Olimpia and Cerro Porteño draw 3-3 in thrilling futsal semifinal first leg

Olimpia and Cerro Porteño played to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg of the Liga Premium futsal semifinal at the Polideportivo de la Cooperativa de Capiatá. The match saw an astonishing six goals in the first 19 minutes, leaving the series wide open for the return leg.

Cerro Porteño took an early lead with two goals from Gonzalo Agüero, scoring in the second minute and again just 90 seconds later. Olimpia quickly responded, with Marco Solís equalizing in the third minute and Marcos Giménez putting them ahead in the seventh minute. This rapid scoring spree saw four goals within the first seven minutes.

Olimpia then took the lead for the first time in the 18th minute when Giménez completed his brace, making the score 3-2. However, their advantage was short-lived. Oscar Martínez equalized for Cerro Porteño just seconds later, setting the final score at 3-3.

The intense classic maintained its excitement until the end, but neither team could find a winning goal. In the other semifinal, Exa Ysaty secured a significant advantage by defeating Recoleta 3-0. The second leg matches for both semifinals are scheduled for next weekend, which will determine the two finalists.
