Olimpia president confirms advanced talks for Gabriel Ávalos

Olimpia is in advanced negotiations to sign forward Gabriel Ávalos, currently playing for Independiente de Avellaneda, club president Rodrigo Nogués confirmed. The potential transfer could see Ávalos join the Paraguayan club either immediately or in January.

Nogués stated that while discussions with Ávalos and his representative are progressing, no deal has been finalized. The club president acknowledged that other teams, including Brazil's Vasco da Gama, have also expressed interest in the player. However, Nogués expressed confidence in Olimpia's current squad while remaining open to strengthening it before the transfer window closes.
