Olimpia welcomes new offensive signing

Argentine striker Braian Ezequiel Romero has arrived in Paraguay to join the ranks of the country's most successful football club, Olimpia. The 35-year-old forward, most recently with Vélez Sarsfield, landed Tuesday with significant expectations as Olimpia prepares for the second half of the season.

Romero brings a wealth of experience, having played for clubs such as Colón de Santa Fe, Argentinos Juniors, Independiente, Athletico Paranaense, Defensa y Justicia, River Plate, Inter de Porto Alegre, Tijuana, and Vélez Sarsfield.

Olimpia's Clausura 2026 championship campaign begins on Friday, July 24, with a classic match against Libertad.
