Oluremi Tinubu rallies support for Oyebanji’s re-election, donates N100m

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, actively campaigned for the re-election of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the June 20 governorship poll. During a women's gathering in Ado Ekiti, she thanked residents for their support for Oyebanji's administration and urged them to vote for him.

We are here for BAO (Governor Oyebanji). We are here to thank you for your support of BAO and his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji. Vote for Governor Oyebanji.

As part of her visit, Tinubu announced a N100 million empowerment grant for 2,000 women in Ekiti State. Each beneficiary will receive N50,000, intended as a non-repayable grant to support their businesses. "It is not a loan, it is to support your businesses," she clarified.

Tinubu also inaugurated an Information and Communication Technology Centre at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, facilitated through her Renewed Hope Initiative. She expressed her intention to return to the state to campaign for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027, projecting further national progress under his leadership.

Governor Oyebanji and the governor's wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, both thanked the First Lady and the President for their support, attributing the state's achievements in various sectors to federal assistance. They urged residents to reciprocate this support by backing President Tinubu in the 2027 election.

We should vote for BAO and by January, for Jagaban (President Tinubu). In 2023, it was Ekiti that first released presidential results. It will be massive again by 2027.
