Olympiacos beat Red Star 87-77 to win IBT Crete 2026, led by Ndiaye

Olympiacos completed its IBT Crete 2026 campaign with a 87-77 victory over Red Star Belgrade in the final at Dyo Aorakia, securing the trophy after controlling most of the game.

The Greek side made the stronger start, using Mbaye Ndiaye's early impact to establish a 13-0 run and move ahead 23-12. Yan Montero's three-pointer at the end of the opening period gave Olympiacos a 26-17 lead.

Red Star tried to close the gap in the second quarter, but Olympiacos answered through Dorsey, Nețzipoglou and Montero. A three-pointer by Joseph and a dunk from Tyler Hall restored a double-digit advantage, and Olympiacos led 50-37 at halftime.

The team coached by Georgios Bartzokas opened the second half with another decisive burst. A 9-0 run, featuring Ward and Evan Fournier, pushed the lead to 20 points at 59-39. Montero and Fournier then helped make it 66-43.

Red Star did not give up and cut the deficit to nine points at 62-71, but Olympiacos finished the third quarter ahead 75-63. The Piraeus club kept control in the final period, rebuilding its lead to 79-65 and seeing out the 87-77 win. Ndiaye finished as the leading scorer with 16 points, along with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
