Olympiacos beats Fenerbahce 82-77 after Fournier and Dorsey lead comeback in first major test

Olympiacos rallied past Fenerbahce 82-77 in its first major preseason friendly at the Crete International Basketball Tournament.

The Greek side spent much of the game chasing its Turkish opponent before raising its level after halftime. Evan Fournier led Olympiacos with 19 points, while Moses Wright scored 16 and Tyler Dorsey added 15. Cory Joseph and Tyrique Jones each contributed 10.

Fenerbahce controlled the opening stages as Olympiacos struggled with turnovers and poor shooting. Olympiacos made only four of its first 14 field-goal attempts, and Fenerbahce finished the first quarter ahead 21-17.

Olympiacos narrowed the gap during the second quarter but still entered halftime trailing 37-34. Fenerbahce continued to find second chances through offensive rebounds, while Olympiacos gradually improved its defense and attack.

The Greek team again moved within one point early in the third quarter, but Fenerbahce answered with a 5-0 run. Olympiacos then increased its intensity and began finding solutions from the perimeter, setting up the comeback. Olympiacos played without Sasha Vezenkov, Nikola Milutinov, Yann Montero, Kostas Papanikolaou and Giannoulis Larentzakis, while Fenerbahce also had several absences.
