Oman Chamber of Commerce Wins Award for Franchise Leadership

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), through its Commercial Franchise Centre, has been honored with the Government Corporate Leadership Award for its significant contributions to supporting and enabling business franchising. The award was presented during the Egyptian-Saudi International Franchise Exhibition held recently in Cairo.

OCCI received the accolade in appreciation of its outstanding efforts to develop the franchise system within the Sultanate of Oman. The chamber has focused on enhancing the competitiveness of national brands and facilitating the expansion of Omani firms both locally and regionally. This expansion is supported by an integrated system of quality programs and strategic partnerships designed to foster growth.

During the exhibition, OCCI facilitated the signing of two memoranda of cooperation and understanding between Omani and Egyptian companies. These agreements focus on collaboration in sectors such as beekeeping, honey production, and silverware manufacturing. OCCI's active participation underscores its commitment to strengthening the franchise system, increasing the visibility of Omani brands in international markets, and cultivating economic partnerships that align with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to diversify the nation's economy.
