Oman Police Arrest Five Asian Nationals in Major Drug Busts

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to combating illicit drug activities with the recent apprehension of five Asian nationals across two distinct operations. These successful anti-narcotics efforts, conducted in the North and South Al Batinah governorates, underscore Oman's zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking and its dedication to safeguarding public safety.

The suspect was found with a significant amount of crystal meth, along with materials and items believed to be linked to drug trafficking activities.

In North Al Batinah, specifically in Sohar, authorities seized a substantial quantity of crystal methamphetamine intended for trafficking. The suspect apprehended in this operation was found in possession of not only the drugs but also materials indicative of drug trafficking operations. This swift action prevented a significant amount of dangerous narcotics from entering the community.

Simultaneously, in South Al Batinah, near Al Musannah, a coordinated operation led to the arrest of four other Asian nationals. This bust yielded significant seizures of cannabis, morphine, crystal meth, and psychotropic tablets. The suspects were reportedly involved in both trafficking and intended use of the confiscated substances. Crucially, law enforcement also confiscated packaging materials, weighing equipment, and mobile phones, providing further evidence of a well-organized illicit operation.
