Oman's refinery production exceeds 108 million barrels

The Sultanate of Oman's refineries produced roughly 108.84 million barrels by the end of June 2026. This figure marks a 5.1% reduction compared to the 114.66 million barrels produced in the corresponding period of 2025, according to preliminary statistics from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The production of motor fuel saw a general decrease of 1.5% by the end of June. Specifically, the output of regular petrol (M91) dropped by 4.7% to 8.25 million barrels, down from 8.65 million barrels in 2025. Sales of 91 octane petrol also fell by 13.3%, reaching 7.85 million barrels, though its exports saw a slight increase of 4.2% to 1.88 million barrels.

In contrast, the production of premium petrol (M95) rose by 2.6% to 6.88 million barrels. However, sales of M95 decreased by 13.6%, and exports declined by 3.5%. Gas oil, or diesel, production experienced a significant drop of 7.5%, totaling 36.52 million barrels, with sales and exports also decreasing.

Conversely, jet fuel production surged by 9.2% to 14.62 million barrels, and its exports increased by 20.9%. Naphtha production also climbed by 3.5%. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production, however, decreased by 4.6%, with sales dropping by 22.2%, although exports saw a marginal increase.
