Omani Race Officer Al Ghadani Selected for Asian Beach Games Technical Team

Oman Sail's commitment to developing national talent in sailing has once again been recognized on the international stage. The appointment of experienced National Race Officer Nawaf Yaqoob Al Ghadani to the Technical Officials Team for the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, is a testament to the high regard in which Omani officials are held.

Al Ghadani's 13 years of officiating experience, spanning local, regional, and international events, including major world championships, underscore his expertise. His presence at the Asian Beach Games not only highlights his personal achievements but also reinforces Oman's growing influence and trust within the global sailing community. This appointment is a source of national pride, showcasing the nation's capabilities beyond just athletic performance.

The Asian Beach Games holds special meaning for Oman and Oman Sail. As hosts of the second edition in 2010, the event helped us to develop one of the best sailing facilities in Asia at Mussanah and host many regional and international events which has supported talented race officials and sailors to gain experience and represent the nation at all levels.

As Abdulaziz Salim Al Shidi, Acting Sailing Director at Oman Sail, stated, this selection reinforces Oman's standing in global sailing. The Asian Beach Games hold particular significance for Oman, having hosted the second edition in 2010, which spurred the development of world-class sailing facilities at Mussanah. These facilities have since become a crucial platform for nurturing both race officials and sailors, enabling them to represent the nation.
