Omoyibo Urges Isoko APC Support for Oborevwori and Joel-Onowakpo

Daniel Omoyibo wants Isoko voters to avoid opposition and back the political leaders he says can deliver development for the area.

The prominent Isoko industrialist and philanthropist, popularly known as Danmotech, made the appeal in Oleh during a courtesy visit by Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas. The meeting formed part of consultations on the unity, political future and development of Isoko Nation ahead of the 2027 elections.

“Let us not go into opposition. Let us queue behind the governor and our own son, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, to consolidate on the good work he has started. That is how Isoko will develop,” Omoyibo said.

He also called on political leaders, traditional stakeholders, professionals and young people in Isoko, including those in the diaspora, to work together. Omoyibo described unity as the community’s greatest political strength and urged residents to support leaders who, in his view, were positioned to attract meaningful development.

Omoyibo singled out the Federal Medical Centre in Oleh as a major achievement. Thomas sponsored the Federal Medical Centre Act (Amendment) Bill 2023, which sought to establish the institution. The bill entered the Senate on November 7, 2023, passed second reading on October 22, 2024, and later passed the National Assembly before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed it into law.

The centre is expected to become the first federal tertiary healthcare institution in Delta South. Omoyibo said it could provide more affordable specialised healthcare while creating opportunities for medical professionals, young people and businesses. Thomas thanked him for his philanthropy and pledged to continue pursuing federal projects, interventions and legislation for Isoko’s socioeconomic development.
