Ondo will deliver for Tinubu's re-election in 2027, vows governor

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has declared the state's unwavering commitment to ensuring President Bola Tinubu secures a second term in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking in Akure during the distribution of food and relief materials under the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme Food Outreach Scheme, Aiyedatiwa stated, "We have already declared Ondo State for Tinubu 2027 and we remain unwavering in our resolve to deliver en masse in the Sunshine State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term."

The governor commended the Renewed Hope Initiative for its focus on addressing community needs. The program distributed items to vulnerable residents, including widows, the physically challenged, elders, and youths. Aiyedatiwa highlighted this intervention as a demonstration of the Tinubu administration's dedication to poverty alleviation and support for those in need, describing it as a "celebration of compassion, solidarity and a shared commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged."

Representing the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, explained that the initiative aims to improve access to nutritious food and strengthen community support systems. She noted that the program receives monthly donations of food items from two donors, enabling two states to benefit each month. The consignment for Ondo State was provided by the Abdusamad Rabiu Africa Initiative. She added that the Renewed Hope Initiative complements the administration's agenda by supporting Nigerians and addressing food insecurity.

The First Lady praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to the state's welfare and development, and also lauded the governor's wife for her dedication to the initiative's programs and support for vulnerable groups. This declaration of support comes amidst ongoing political mobilization for the upcoming elections.
