One arrested in Datça drug operation

Authorities in Datça, Turkey, have arrested one individual in connection with drug production and trafficking. The operation, conducted by the Datça District Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Crimes teams, aimed to disrupt the illegal drug trade in the region.

During an operation at the suspect's residence, identified as A.K., law enforcement officers discovered and seized a significant quantity of illicit substances. The findings included 200 cannabis plants, 42 grams of cannabis seeds, and 5 grams of hashish. The seized items were confiscated by the teams.

The suspect, A.K., was taken into custody and faces legal proceedings for violating Law No. 2313, which pertains to offenses related to narcotics and psychotropic substances. Following the completion of administrative procedures at the police station, the suspect was brought before the court.

The court ordered the remand of A.K. into custody, and the suspect has been transferred to prison to await further legal action. The operation is part of ongoing efforts by Turkish law enforcement to combat drug-related crime.
