One dead, 12 evacuated after fire at Cheonan apartment

A fire at a five-story apartment building in Seongjeong-dong, Cheonan, killed one person and sent 12 others fleeing early on the 7th.

The fire started on the third floor at about 5:39 a.m. A man in his 60s was rescued in cardiac arrest and taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Fire authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze and assessing the damage.
