One dead, two injured in highway truck collision in Turkey

A serious traffic accident on the Anadolu highway in Turkey's Kahramankazan district has claimed one life and left two people injured. The collision occurred around 2:00 PM when a pickup truck, traveling from Bolu towards Ankara, crashed into the back of a truck moving in the same direction.

Emergency services, including health, fire, and police teams, were dispatched to the scene following the incident. Medical personnel confirmed the death of Aydın Altın, a passenger in the pickup truck. The drivers of both vehicles, identified as G.G. (33) and S.Ç. (36), sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.

The accident resulted in a significant disruption to traffic, with vehicles forming long queues. The roadway was partially blocked as watermelons from the damaged truck spilled across lanes. Traffic flow was eventually managed under a single lane, and the road was cleared after the vehicles were removed and the debris cleaned up. An investigation into the cause of the crash has been initiated.
