One Lucky Winner Claims Over 96 Million Krónur in Iceland Lotto Draw

A single fortunate individual has won the top prize in Iceland's Lotto draw, securing over 96.5 million Icelandic krónur (approximately $700,000 USD). The winning ticket, which matched all the numbers, was purchased via the official Lotto app, highlighting the convenience of digital purchasing for lottery players.

In addition to the grand prize, six other ticket holders will share a bonus prize, with each receiving 298,000 Icelandic krónur. Of these bonus-winning tickets, four were bought through the Lotto app, one via the website lotto.is, and one was part of a subscription. Another bonus ticket was purchased at Mój Market on Álfabakki street.

There were no winners for the Joker game's top prize in the evening's draw. However, ten ticket holders managed to secure a second prize, earning 125,000 Icelandic krónur each. These secondary Joker prizes were distributed across various purchasing channels, including the Lotto app (four tickets), lotto.is (two tickets), and a subscription. Three other Joker tickets were bought at physical locations: N1 in Selfoss, Extra in Akureyri, and Olís on Fitjar.
