One Thousand Mangroves Planted to Protect Aceh Coastline from Erosion

In Banda Aceh, Indonesia, a significant environmental initiative saw the planting of 1,000 mangrove trees along the Pantai Asoe Nanggroe coastline. This effort, a collaboration between the Aceh provincial government and private sector entities, is designed to bolster the resilience of the coastal ecosystem.

The primary goals of the mangrove planting are to safeguard the shoreline against erosion and to maintain the delicate balance of the coastal environment. The Gerakan Peduli Lingkungan (Environmental Care Movement) also actively involved children in the tree-planting activities. This inclusion aims to instill a sense of environmental responsibility and awareness from an early age, highlighting the importance of coastal conservation.
