One-Ton Cow Sudin Draws Crowds at MAHA 2026

A nearly one-ton white cow named Sudin has become the star attraction at the livestock pavilion during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition, or MAHA 2026, in Serdang.

Sudin’s caretaker, Muhammad Syafiq Abdul Nasir, said the animal receives close attention to keep it in top condition throughout the exhibition. “This cow needs to be bathed twice a day, and the same applies to feeding,” he told Utusan Malaysia.

Sudin’s diet during the exhibition differs from the way it is fed in its home village. Despite its imposing size, Muhammad Syafiq said its meat would cost no more than the market price. He added that Sudin could be released in a public area as long as it was properly supervised and kept away from other cattle that might challenge it.

The cow also received veterinary vaccinations to ensure it remained healthy before going on display. Its careful upkeep has helped Sudin frequently win so-called muscular cow competitions because of its distinctive features.

Muhammad Syafiq said Sudin’s presence at exhibitions such as MAHA could draw public interest in raising livestock. He acknowledged that every farm animal brings both benefits and challenges, but said genuine interest makes the work easier. He hopes visitors remember more than the animal’s physical strength after seeing Sudin at the exhibition.
