Đorđević: Constitutional Court Active Only When Regime Benefits

Biljana Đorđević, co-president of the Green-Left Front (ZLF), has sharply criticized the Constitutional Court of Serbia, accusing it of selective action that favors the ruling regime. Đorđević stated that the court, which has reportedly ignored numerous requests from the opposition for years, only becomes active when it serves the interests of those in power.

Her remarks highlight a deep-seated frustration among opposition parties regarding the perceived politicization of state institutions. The ZLF co-president pointed to the court's prolonged inaction on various opposition petitions as evidence of its bias. This inactivity, she suggested, renders the court ineffective for any purpose other than to legitimize the regime's agenda when convenient.
