Orange Fish Initiative Grants Summer Vacation to Nearly 100 Children from Single-Parent Families

Nearly one hundred children from single-parent families are enjoying a worry-free summer vacation in Novigrad, Istria, thanks to the "Narančasta ribica" (Orange Fish) initiative. This marks the third consecutive year that the Studenac market chain and the LET Association have joined forces to provide this opportunity.

The program directly supports families facing significant financial challenges. Statistics indicate that a third of single parents assess their financial situation as poor or unstable. Furthermore, 54 percent report that they frequently cannot provide their children with essential needs. The "Narančasta ribica" initiative aims to offer these children a much-needed break and a chance to create happy memories.

By organizing and funding these summer holidays, Studenac and the LET Association are providing tangible support to vulnerable families. The initiative not only offers the children a chance to relax and play but also provides a period of respite for their parents, who often bear the sole responsibility for childcare and financial provision. The successful continuation of the program underscores a commitment to easing the burden on single-parent households and ensuring children have opportunities for joyful experiences.
