Oriente Petrolero continues winning streak with away victory

Oriente Petrolero secured a hard-fought 3-2 away victory against Real Oruro at the Jesús Bermúdez stadium, solidifying their fourth-place position in the league with 23 points. The win underscores the team's impressive campaign, considered one of their best in recent years.

Coach Gustavo Florentín's squad took an early lead in the 11th minute with a goal from José Flores, assisted by Marco Velasco. Real Oruro managed to equalize six minutes later through Ángel Quiñónez, capitalizing on a goalkeeping error. Oriente Petrolero had a chance to regain the lead when Jorge Lovera missed a penalty in the 22nd minute.

However, José Flores scored his second goal in the 30th minute, assisted by Leonardo Vaca, to put Oriente back in front. Before halftime, Berdecio extended the lead to 3-1 in the 40th minute. Real Oruro pulled one back just before the break with a goal from Santos García, making the score 3-2 at halftime.

The second half saw Real Oruro pressing for an equalizer, with Leandro Corulo hitting the post and Joel Bernal making crucial saves. Oriente Petrolero adopted a more defensive strategy, looking for counter-attack opportunities. Despite late chances missed by Ricardo Roldán and Leonardo Vaca, Oriente Petrolero held on to secure the victory, demonstrating resilience and character away from home.
