Oriente Petrolero Moves to Quell Wave of Debt Claims

Oriente Petrolero is trying to put out an institutional fire fueled by salary-debt claims from previous administrations. The Bolivian club has begun negotiating agreements with several footballers who took legal action against it.

Gary Rea is withdrawing his claim after reaching a settlement with the club, while Kevin Salvatierra has also reached an agreement. Oriente plans to meet Jordan Santacruz’s representative to seek another deal. A meeting between Álvaro Peña and Ronald Raldes is also scheduled to address a pending situation.

The club has already paid Diego Bejarano 250,000 bolivianos and plans to make another payment of the same amount. The remaining balance will come after the Santa Cruz derby. Carlos Añez is due to receive a payment in the coming days, with the rest of his debt also scheduled for payment after the derby.

The cases involving Gilbert Álvarez and Sebastián Álvarez follow a different path. Oriente Petrolero is preparing its defense in both proceedings, so they could take longer to settle. The club is pursuing agreements with players to reduce its outstanding debts and prevent the legal actions from continuing to deepen its institutional problems.
