Orijus's Holidays in Lithuania: Visaginas surprises internet comedians with its charm

Travel journalist Orijus Gasanovas embarked on a journey to Visaginas, a Lithuanian city often surrounded by myths, inviting popular comedians Neda and Deividas to explore its reality. The duo, known for their online humor, were initially hesitant about Visaginas, a city they associated with peculiar emotions and stereotypes, including the misconception that locals don't speak Lithuanian.

Gasanovas aimed to debunk these myths, starting with a visit to the Visaginas nuclear power plant's control simulator. The comedians found the experience surprisingly engaging, expressing astonishment at the realism. Their accommodation was in a modest but affordable guesthouse, a place that once hosted Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas, a former Lithuanian leader, highlighting the town's historical connections.

During their exploration, the trio spoke with a local lifeguard at Visaginas beach, who shared insights into the area's advantages. They also encountered a strikingly beautiful former police officer who showcased her martial arts skills and fashion sense. A culinary highlight was a visit to a kiosk serving authentic Uzbek plov, a dish so popular it sells out within hours, with the chef explaining its unique appeal.

The journey also featured a segment dedicated to fulfilling dreams, where they met a woman whose lifelong ambition was to obtain a driver's license and travel to Palanga. The episode also included an adventurous bike ride on fat-tire bikes through local forests, guided by an expert who led them on challenging and exciting trails.
