Orlando Bloom exits 'Reset' film days before shooting begins, Priyanka Chopra to choose replacement

Orlando Bloom has made a surprising exit from the upcoming thriller and survival film 'Reset,' with filming scheduled to commence in mere days. The 49-year-old British actor was set to co-star with Indian-American star Priyanka Chopra in the project, announced in May. Both Bloom and Chopra were also attached as producers.

Director Matt Smukler had previously praised the strong on-screen chemistry between Bloom and Chopra, anticipating they would bring significant dynamism to the film. Bloom was to portray a mysterious stranger with hidden secrets who aids a woman who wakes up in a desolate area with amnesia.

Sources within Hollywood indicate that following Bloom's abrupt departure, producers are actively searching for his replacement. Three male actors are reportedly being evaluated for the role. Priyanka Chopra, who is among the main producers through her company Purple Pebble Pictures, is expected to play a decisive role in selecting the new male lead from the shortlisted candidates.
