Osh police detain father and son after teen brawl video surfaces

Authorities in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, have identified a father and son who were involved in a physical altercation between teenagers, a video of which circulated widely on social media.

The incident reportedly occurred on July 21 near an apartment building in the "Anar" microdistrict. A resident of Osh filed a complaint stating that an adult male and his son engaged in hooliganism against his minor son, born in 2011, inflicting bodily injuries. Police have since identified the adult as being born in 1982 and his son also born in 2011.

Both the father and son have been brought to the investigative service, where necessary procedural actions are being carried out. This development follows the online dissemination of a video showing two teenagers fighting. Notably, the video appeared to show an adult male nearby not intervening to stop the conflict but rather encouraging the participants to continue.

The Osh City Department of Internal Affairs released photos of the father and son after they were taken into custody. The investigation aims to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and assign appropriate responsibility.
