Kyrgyzstan and China to Boost Crime Prevention Efforts for Chinese Citizens

Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Interior Minister Oktyabr Urmambetov met with Chinese Ambassador Liu Jiangping in Bishkek to address concerns regarding offenses committed by Chinese citizens residing in the country. The discussion focused on bolstering preventive efforts and ensuring foreign nationals are aware of Kyrgyzstan's laws and cultural norms.

According to the Interior Ministry, the meeting emphasized the importance of informing Chinese nationals about the requirements of Kyrgyz legislation. Participants also highlighted the necessity of respecting local traditions, culture, and public order. This focus aims to foster better integration and reduce potential conflicts.

Both the Interior Ministry and the Chinese Embassy committed to conducting joint preventive and awareness-raising activities.
