Osh residents left without power: Mayor's office explains reasons for outage

Residents of a multi-story building in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, have publicly appealed to the president, sharing a video detailing their prolonged electricity outage. The disruption has left 273 apartments without power, causing essential services like water supply and elevators to cease functioning.

According to the press service of the Osh mayor's office, Deputy Mayor Ernis Toltoev visited the site to investigate the situation. The mayor's office explained that the residential complex, built by "Vision" company, has not yet been officially commissioned. Furthermore, the building received its electricity not from state networks but through a contract with a private company, "Energo Prom."

The supply was temporarily halted due to a significant debt accumulated towards "Energo Prom." Measures are currently underway, with assistance from the Osh electric network enterprise, to restore power to the residents. The municipality emphasized that this situation is unrelated to planned state power outages and stems directly from the contractual relationship between the building's management company and the electricity provider. The former founder of "Vision Group" was previously detained for two months.
