Osimhen Slammed with Fine for Traffic Violation in Turkey

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly faced a financial penalty in Turkey after allegedly violating traffic rules. The incident occurred on Thursday as the Galatasaray forward was leaving the team's training grounds ahead of their second league game against Erzurumspor.

According to reports, Osimhen was captured on footage driving through a red light without stopping at an intersection outside the training facility. Turkish outlet Haberler published the footage, which showed the Nigerian international's vehicle crossing the intersection while the traffic signal was red.

Following the alleged infraction, Osimhen was reportedly charged with a traffic violation and issued a fine of 5,000 Turkish Lira, which is approximately 141,000 Nigerian Naira. Despite this incident, Galatasaray has included the star player in their squad for the match against Erzurumspor, as the team seeks its first victory of the current campaign. Osimhen has started the season strongly, scoring twice in the opening fixture to secure a point for his team.
