Osimhen suffers groin injury as Galatasaray confirm adductor strain

Victor Osimhen scored Galatasaray’s opening goal against Istanbul Başakşehir, then left the pitch in the 33rd minute after feeling discomfort. The club later confirmed that the Nigeria striker had suffered a significant groin injury.

Galatasaray said MRI and advanced examinations at Acıbadem Hospital detected a moderate-to-advanced strain, including bleeding and strain, in Osimhen’s right adductor muscle group. The Turkish champions also examined midfielder Mario Lemina and found a similar injury.
