Oslo Bars Extend Hours to 5 AM; Weekend Festivals Offer Music, Comedy, and Wine

Oslo's nightlife is set for a historic shift this weekend as bars gain the ability to serve alcohol until 5 a.m., a change that has the city buzzing. This extended licensing period marks a significant departure from previous regulations, offering a new dimension to the city's social scene.

Beyond the extended bar hours, the Piknik i Parken festival promises a vibrant atmosphere in Sofienbergparken. Attendees can look forward to performances by Sa_G and Bertine Zetlitz, complemented by a diverse array of food vendors and opportunities to participate in beer and wine courses. The festival runs from Thursday to Saturday, with day passes available.

For comedy enthusiasts, the Humor over Oslo festival on Grefsentoppen will showcase top Norwegian comedians, including Tore Sagen, Else Kåss Furuseth, and Lars Berrum. Meanwhile, wine aficionados can explore the Non Dos festival, featuring over 150 different wines and sakes, offering a chance to discover new favorites. This festival takes place on Friday at Blå.
