Osun 2026: Accord leads APC as results from 94.8% of polling units are recorded

The Accord Party is currently in the lead in the ongoing Osun 2026 gubernatorial election, according to preliminary results.

As of the latest count, figures from 3,568 out of the state's 3,763 polling units have been recorded, representing 94.8% of the total. The Accord Party has garnered 504,776 votes, which accounts for 52.38% of the votes tallied so far. This places them ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has polled 430,617 votes, or 44.68% of the counted votes.

The current margin shows Accord leading the APC by 74,159 votes. However, the election outcome is not yet final. Results from 195 polling units, approximately 5.2% of the total, are still outstanding. The number of votes in these remaining units could potentially influence the final margin of victory.

The collation process is actively underway, and the electoral authorities are working to receive, verify, and formally declare all outstanding results. The final outcome of the Osun 2026 gubernatorial election will be determined once all votes have been accounted for.
