Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on residents to participate peacefully in the upcoming governorship election on August 15, assuring them that their votes will be counted. The governor made this appeal during a campaign tour in the Isokan Local Government Area, emphasizing his administration's dedication to inclusive governance and people-oriented projects.

Adeleke addressed communities in Apomu and Ikoyi, expressing gratitude for their sustained support. He reiterated his commitment to improving education, strengthening healthcare delivery, fostering economic opportunities, and ensuring that all parts of the state benefit from democratic dividends. The governor's message was met with support from traditional rulers, including the Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Afolabi, and the Olukoyi of Ikoyi, Oba Taofeek Morenigbade. The royal fathers offered prayers for Adeleke's success in the election and praised his developmental achievements across the state.

Governor Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord party. The upcoming poll features 14 candidates, including the incumbent governor, vying for the state's top leadership position. The election is scheduled for August 15.
