Osun 2026: Adeleke promises more developmental projects if re-elected

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has promised to deliver more developmental initiatives across the state if re-elected in the August 15 governorship election. Speaking during the Imole Campaign Council’s consultation and mobilisation tour in Erin-Osun and Ilobu, Adeleke asserted that his administration had fulfilled its promises from the 2022 campaign.

“I appreciate your support. When we came here in 2022, I promised you good governance, and I have fulfilled what I promised. But the people have not seen anything yet. We will do much more for Osun State,” Adeleke stated. He emphasized that greater achievements await the state under his continued leadership.

Traditional rulers and political stakeholders in the Irepodun Local Government Area have voiced their support for Adeleke’s re-election. The Elerin of Erin-Osun, Oba Yusuf Adekunle, and the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Ashiru Olatoye, both expressed confidence in the governor's administration. They assured Adeleke and the campaign council of the people's overwhelming support and pledged their mandate for his second term.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, speaking on behalf of stakeholders in the local government, also guaranteed Adeleke of significant support and victory in the upcoming election. The election is scheduled for August 15, with 14 political parties fielding candidates.
