Osun Decides 2026: Full List of Results as Adeleke Secures Second Term

Incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has secured a second term in office following the Osun State governorship election held on August 15, 2026. The Independent National Electoral Commission announced Adeleke as the winner after he triumphed in 19 of the state's 30 local government areas.

Adeleke garnered 511,067 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who received 444,815 votes and won in 11 local government areas. The election saw a total of 1,010,684 voters accredited, with 985,079 valid votes cast.

Najeem Salam of the African Democratic Congress secured the third position with 17,180 votes. The remaining 12 candidates, representing various parties including the African Democratic Party, Zenith Labour Party, and Action Alliance, received significantly fewer votes. The election results mark Adeleke's return to power after his initial victory in 2022. The Accord Party's win in this election follows his previous success on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
