Osun election: ADC denies withdrawing for any party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has firmly denied circulating rumors that it is withdrawing from the upcoming governorship election or forming alliances with other political parties. The party's spokesperson, Abosede Oluwaseun, issued a statement urging the electorate to dismiss what they termed "deliberate falsehoods" and "desperate political fabrications."

The ADC asserted its unwavering confidence in securing victory in the Saturday election and stated it would not jeopardize its chances by stepping down for any other party. "ADC has not stepped down for anybody, and we will not step down for anybody," the statement declared unequivocally. The party encouraged those interested in its platform to join them, reiterating, "ADC is not joining anybody."

To underscore their commitment, the ADC pointed to recent campaign efforts, including visits from national leaders and the Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the state's National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola. These activities, along with the ongoing statewide engagement by the governorship candidate, Dr. Najeem Salaam, are presented as evidence of the party's full dedication to winning the election. The ADC concluded by calling for an end to the "shenanigans, falsehoods and politically motivated rumours," reaffirming that Dr. Najeem Salaam remains the candidate to beat.
