Osun Election: Adeleke's Victory Sparks Jubilation Across State

Jubilation erupted in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, and other towns like Ile-Ife and Ede following Governor Ademola Adeleke's declared victory in the recent governorship election. Supporters and residents took to the streets, dancing and singing in celebration immediately after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the final results.

The election was free, fair and credible, commending INEC officials for conducting the exercise without bias and ensuring a transparent electoral process across Osun State.

Supporters gathered at the INEC office, celebrating the outcome with motorcycle parades and victory songs. Residents in Ile-Ife expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election. Osun State Commissioner for Transportation, Olusesan Oyedele, thanked God for a peaceful election devoid of violence or property destruction, commending INEC for a transparent process and the electorate for their orderliness.

Accord Party leader Busayo Arayela also praised the peaceful atmosphere, attributing it partly to the advocacy of traditional rulers like the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. She urged the governor to sustain developmental programs and deliver democratic dividends. The streets of Ede North and Ede South local government areas also witnessed celebrations, with residents describing the electoral process as generally orderly and transparent.
