All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders have commended the significant voter turnout in the ongoing Osun State governorship election. Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) from Ilesa, Ibokun, and Ilase-Ijesa, the chieftains characterized the turnout as impressive and noted the peaceful atmosphere of the polls. Babatunde Ayeni, a former member of the House of Representatives, praised the federal government for fostering an environment that allowed voters to exercise their franchise freely. Ayeni, who cast his vote in Ilesa West Local Government Area, also refuted claims of vote-buying, asserting the APC's popularity made such tactics unnecessary. He expressed optimism about the party's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, winning the election.

Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, echoed the sentiment, urging more eligible voters to participate. After casting his ballot in Obokun Local Government Area, Fadahunsi expressed satisfaction with the turnout at his polling unit. Similarly, former state House of Assembly member Olatunbosun Oyintiloye reported a peaceful environment and substantial voter participation after casting his vote. These comments come amidst reports of lower voter turnout in other parts of the state, including Ife Central, Oriade, and Ilesa.
