#OsunDecides2026: APC wins Obokun LGA

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, has secured a victory in the Obokun Local Government Area during the ongoing Osun governorship election. Oyebamiji emerged victorious over his closest rival, the incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, by a margin of 4,097 votes.

The final results announced at the Obokun LGA collation center indicated that the APC garnered 16,120 votes. The Accord Party trailed with 12,023 votes. A total of 29,147 votes were cast in the local government area, comprising 28,687 valid votes and 460 rejected votes.

This result from Obokun LGA is subject to final approval by the INEC Returning Officer at the main collation center in Osogbo. There, results from all 30 local government areas will be compiled to determine the overall winner of the Osun governorship election. Fifteen political parties are participating in the election, though early polling unit results suggested a close contest between the APC and Accord Party candidates.
