Adewale announced his decision at a press conference, stating it followed extensive consultations with party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders. He emphasized that his choice was not driven by personal ambition but by a commitment to placing the interests of Osun State above his own political aspirations.

I believe Governor Adeleke deserves another term to consolidate the progress of his administration, as recorded.
