Otu promises funding, employment for presidential awardees

Cross River Governor Bassey Otu celebrated seven recipients of the 2025 Presidential Honours Award, recognizing their exceptional service during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year.

At his residence in Calabar, Otu hailed the awardees as exemplars of the "true Cross River spirit," characterized by excellence, diligence, and commitment. He expressed pride in their achievements and their role as ambassadors for the state.

In recognition of their outstanding service, Governor Otu announced automatic employment for the seven former corps members within the Cross River state civil service. He further committed to supporting any awardees who opt out of public service by providing training, skill acquisition programs, and startup grants for their entrepreneurial endeavors.
