Over 17,000 Students Take UNSA Entrance Exam in Peru; Results Pending

The National University of San Agustín (UNSA) in Arequipa, Peru, hosted its Ordinary Entrance Exam, First Phase 2027, on Sunday, August 9. A significant turnout saw 17,220 out of 17,567 registered applicants participate, marking a high attendance rate of 98%.

The examination was conducted in two shifts throughout the day. The morning session, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, catered to candidates applying for programs in the Biomedical and Social Sciences fields. In the afternoon, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM, aspiring students for Engineering programs took their tests. A total of 1,106 vacancies were offered across these three academic areas for this intake.

UNSA announced that the results would be released after midnight on Sunday, following the joint processing of all exams. However, the university cautioned applicants against relying on unofficial sources, emphasizing that only official university channels should be consulted for the list of admitted students. The delay was attributed to the comprehensive processing required for the large volume of exams.

The university also highlighted that enhanced surveillance and control mechanisms were in place during the examination day to ensure the integrity of the process. This rigorous approach aims to maintain the credibility of UNSA's admission procedures.
